From the initial tour to the actual day-of, everything went smoothly and seamlessly. Our signature drinks were perfectly mixed and the bartenders never had a long line waitingthey were super fast. They were SO accommodating throughout the entire process and made sure we were well taken care of on our wedding day! The food was great and we even got to meet the chef who helped us in our selections. But Jackie was wonderful to work with and she helped the day of go smoothly! They loved how unique it was as did we! Everything was absolutely beautiful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. restrooms were super convenient. That made things really easy. The coordinator left out the part that she WAS NOT a part of the rehearsal, and it was on us to do it. You only get 30 minutes to rehearse and the time is given to you (typically 3-3:30pm on Friday for a Saturday ceremony so party members had to take off work) and have strict time constraints and in the contract it states you will be charged $100 for every 15 minutes you go over on both rehearsal and reception times so just be leery and plan ahead. And rather than 3 stars; we will explain why here in a minute. The only other note I would say is the Athenaeum is very strict about timelines and rules. The only complaint I have is with the hours it's really hard to work full time and get things done. My husband and I were even given the chance to get a sneak peek at our rehearsal of the Oak Room.
